Bock is a German style of lager beer and is thought to have originated in the town of Einbeck. When Munich brewers took to making this style, they called it “Einbeck”, however in the Bavarian dialect “Einbeck” is pronounced “ein Bock”, which coincidentally means “a billy goat”. As such, the image of a goat has been heavily used on Bock Beer labels. When we decided to make a beer in honor of football’s G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) it seemed fitting to also give a nod to this old world brewing tradition. Brewed with 100% German malts and hops, G.O.A.T. is our first true lager beer. It is light copper colored, highly drinkable and delivers notes of bread, spice and a hint of dark fruit. Go #12!! Go Pats!!!
