This is a rare Glenlivet bottled at cask-strength without chill-filtration. This whisky was matured in a second fill hogshead cask which only yielded 307 bottles of this excellent Speyside whisky.
Nose: This whisky is big on the tropical fruit aromas with estery pear drops and rose water notes emerging with time in the glass.
Palate: Strawberry and raspberry jam with gingerbread dough and a smattering of wood spice.
Finish: The finish is pleasingly long with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg chased with a touch of vanilla.
Overall: This is a fruity offering from Glenlivet which displays the age of this limited single malt whisky well.
