Accessibility Statement

Broudy's website

Broudy's Liquors is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.  At Broudy's we strive to ensure our site is fully conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA.  Being fully conformant means that we have and continue to try to validate the site using automated tools and processes to work through any accessibility issues we many uncover to ensure we can resolve as much of our content in which we have control will be to the best of our ability to be fully conform to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Broudys.com, there may be some limitations beyond our control where unfortunately the accessibility features may not be fully as compliant as we would wish them to be.  Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for Broudys.com:

  1. Google Maps : Unfortunately due to the nature of the map feature it is highly graphical and our tests show that Google does not provide in some cases alternative text for grid images and other graphical features on map.  In addition due to the imagery there may be contrast issues to see some links on that are shown on the map.

  2. Payment Page:  This is supplied by a secure third party payment provider that may not implement all of the accessibility features in their payment form.
